A little bit of everything- Cake

hi everyone!

today I wanted to make a cake according to a recipe, but
making the crust I looked at the wrong page, so there's also
lemon zest in the crust, which originally didn't belong there,
but nontheless tastes good. it gives the cake a fresh taste,
because the rest of it is rather sweet. additionally there's walnuts in the
crust because I didn't have enough almonds.
furthermore there should have been much more coconut in the cream
but one of the coconuts I bought TODAY was already bad :-(

unfortunately it's not entirely raw, because the almonds were blanched
and about the cocoa I'm not sure, but I suppose it wasn't.

so, in effect, the cake I made, resembles only slightly the
one from the recipe, but I don't mind because it tastes great!

so, for everyone who wants to try my slightly altered "a bit of everything cake"
come to my home or try this ;-)

crust:
almonds
walnuts
dates
1/2 teaspoon bourbon vanilla powder
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
fresh coconut
lemon zest

cream:
fresh coconut
fresh coconut juice
dates

Keep on eating,

*julia* ;-D

Hot Guacamole and dried goodies

Two days ago I got my drier and I already had to try it! I dried pears from our neighbour's garden (I took them with permission of course ;-) I also made some Pitabread out of flaxseeds, tomatoes, onions and garlic. Both the pears and the Pitabread turned out great!

For todays dinner I made some hot Guacamole which tasted great together with the Pitabread!

Everyone enjoy!

For today I want to summarize the training of last week:

Mo, 9.11.09: 90min (16km)

Thur, 12.11.09: Intervals
1000m: 4:12:9
200m: 38,9
1000m: 4:12,9
200m: 37,7
1000m: 4:17,0
200m 38,0

Sun, 15.11.09: 10km (hills) 50:30min. 20min abdominal muscle training

The following "recipe" is an invention by me *haha* which I made last weekend. It consist
of 1 fresh coconut (including the juice) and about 250g dates. That's it! I call them "snowballs" ;-)

Keep on running!
